How to Create Multiple After Login Pages

In LearnWorlds, the 'After Login' page (/start) serves as the primary landing destination for users after they successfully create an account in your school. Furthermore, it is the default page that greets them each time they log in.

You have the flexibility to select from the following options for configuring your After Login page:

  • Κeep the default Start Page.
  • Determine whether a course description page or another page will become the Start page of your school.
  • Have different after-login pages for your users based on the:
    • User tags: Tags are a powerful tool that allows Admins to categorize and differentiate users based on various attributes, such as interests, location, occupation, and many more. For more information, please refer to our relevant article here.
    • User Groups: User Groups serve as a valuable tool for streamlining internal training, segmenting your audience, and unlocking numerous possibilities to provide personalized user experiences. For more information, please refer to our relevant article here.
    • Multiple Seats: Multiple Seats Offering is a B2B toolkit product that enables your customers to sell multiple courses to a group of users by simultaneously handing over the management of this group to your B2B clients. For more information, please refer to our relevant article here.

In this article, we will learn how to personalize the after-login page based on user tags, user groups, and multiple-seat offerings and present distinct versions to specific users.

Multiple After login pages based on User Tags

Using tags to segment your audience (available in all of our plans) offers countless opportunities to deliver a custom user experience. Using tags, you can offer different after-login experiences to your users based on the specified group and personalize your users' journey, collect additional information, make announcements, and promote offers!

Set up your After Login page based on User Tags

1. Navigate to Website â†’ Navigation, or while on the Site Builder, hover over Site at the top of your screen and click on Site Navigation.

2. Scroll to Start page (after login page) and click on Start page (after login page).

3. Click on Add rule, insert the tag/tags that you have already created, and select the page to which users with this tag will be redirected.

  • The rules are evaluated sequentially, so the users will be redirected to the page you have set up for the first rule/tag matched.
  • If you wish to add multiple tags for the same after-login page, you will need to create separate rules for each tag. If you add multiple tags in the same rule, then the users who will be redirected to the specific after-login page will need to have all of the tags stated in the rule.

You can learn more about Site Navigation and how to set up your After Login page in this article.

Multiple After login pages based on User Groups

You have the flexibility to designate an after-login page for a specific User Group upon the creation of the User Group or edit this action subsequently (available in our Learning Center plans or higher)

Set up an After Login page during User Group creation

1. Go to Users â†’ User Groups. Under the Create user group option, you start your User group.

2. Follow the wizard to create your User Group. You can find more information in this article.

3. You can set up the User Group experience under Advanced Settings. You can select and choose a custom after-log-in page for this group or tag users upon their addition to the user group.

Select and Edit the After Login page of a User Group

1. Go to Users â†’ User Groups and detect the User Group you wish to edit.

2. Click on Edit user group.

3. Navigate to the Advanced tab, select an After login page, or change the current one.

Multiple After login pages based on Multiple Seats

You can assign an after-login page to a particular Seat offering either during its initial creation or by making adjustments later (available in our Learning Center plans or higher).

Set up an After Login page during Seat offering creation

1. Go to Users â†’ Multiple Seats and click on Create Seat offering.

2. Follow the wizard to create your Seat Offering. You can find more information in this article.

3. Under Advanced Settings, you can use a custom after-log-in page for this Seat offering or tag users upon their addition to the Seat offering.

Select and Edit the After Login page of a Seat Offering

2. Click on Edit seat offering.

Edit the custom after login for User Groups/Multiple Seats

1. Navigate to Website → Navigation, or while on the Site Builder, hover over Site at the top of your screen and click on Site Navigation.

2. Scroll to the Start pages for user groups & seat offerings, select the Seat Offering or User Group you wish, and click on Edit.

To enable this option, you must initially establish a personalized post-login page for a specific user group or seat offering during the editing process.

  • The rules' order under the Start pages for user groups and seat offerings is chronologically added, and it cannot be reordered.
  • The rules added under Start pages for user groups & seat offerings proceed with the rules added for custom after login pages based on tags. This means that if a user is a member of a group and also is tagged the after login page shown is the one added for the specific group and not the tag rule.
