How to Use the Interactive Video Editor

LearnWorlds interactive video editor is a powerful tool that offers advanced functionalities for adding elements to your videos, transforming them into an interactive, unique experience. You can add interactive elements within your video learning activities to enhance user engagement and enrich the learning experience by allowing learners to actively participate and apply concepts in real-time.

In this guide, we will explore how to utilize the interactive video editor to leverage its full capabilities in achieving optimal results for your video creations.

Prerequisites for using the Interactive Video Editor

All interactive elements become available when you upload videos to your course video library, regardless of the video provider chosen.

You can also add elements if you add a video learning activity using Vimeo or Wistia links. However, thumbnails, subtitles, and interactive transcripts are not supported.

Access the Interactive Video Editor

You can access the LearnWorlds Interactive Video Editor within the video learning activities in your courses.

1. Navigate to the course of your choice and visit the Course outline tab.

2. Hover over the created video learning activity and click on Edit Video.

You will get directed to the Interactive Video Editor environment.

Supported Elements

Our interactive Video Editor encompasses both basic components (such as text, images, thumbnails, watermarks, and player skin) and dynamic features (like interactions, subtitles, and transcripts).

These are the interactions supported by our Interactive video editor:

Texts & images

Αdd text or an image to your videos, choose among various templates, select the duration, and further customize their appearance and behavior.

Interactions

Add buttons, offers, questions, or even embed code to your videos.

Table of contents

Create a table of contents and add your headings to categorize your videos into smaller parts and allow your users to easily navigate across them.

Thumbnails

You can choose the frame of your choice or upload the image that best represents your video. Thumbnails are available if you use the Learnworlds provider for videos.

Subtitles

By incorporating subtitles, you can expand your video's accessibility to users across various languages and regions. This feature not only enables viewers to engage with your content without the audio on but also serves as a vital tool for individuals with hearing impairments to remain engaged. Subtitles can be conveniently added by either uploading your .srt file or utilizing our auto-generation feature.

Interactive transcript

You have the capability to automatically generate a transcript of all spoken dialogue in your video. After it's generated, you can make further edits to the text or download the transcript. Additionally, you can create a transcript from your subtitles.

Watermarks

You can choose to add a watermark of your school logo, school name, user's email, or user's id, which can easily be set in your Copyright Protection settings

Player Skin

You can choose the player skin that better matches your school's look and feel from a variety of options.

Video Statistics

Video stats can help you see users' engagement, views, and audience stats to adjust and develop your content even more. Video Statistics are available if you use the Learnworlds provider for your videos.

Plan availability

* Subtitles can be added by uploading your .srt file or can be autogenerated. Importing a .srt file is available in the Pro Trainer plan; subtitle autogeneration requires upgrading to the Learning Center plan.

If you add interactive elements to a video and then choose to upload a new version within the same learning activity, the interactive elements will remain intact.
