Videos are a powerful tool in online courses, enhancing the learning experience by providing visual and auditory content that can make complex concepts easier to understand.
In LearnWorlds, you can upload video files directly to the course Video Libraries and use them in your courses. Alternatively, you can include a video that is already stored on your Vimeo or Wistia accounts.
In this article, we will learn how to add videos to your courses by creating a video learning activity.
Create the Video Learning Activity
To create a video learning activity in your courses:
1. Navigate to Courses → Course Manager, click on the course of your choice, and visit the Course outline tab.
If you want more information on how to create a course, click here.
2. Click on Add activity under the selected course section.
3. Choose the Video (Interactive) learning activity under the Multimedia category.
4. Give a title to your learning activity and click Save or Save and Edit to start making changes immediately.

Ensure that your Vimeo videos are set to Public in your Vimeo account settings, and then copy and paste the Vimeo ID and hash into the relevant From Vimeo field (check this link to copy-paste your Vimeo video ID).
- From your Wistia account if you have integrated Wistia Video Storage in your school.
Paste the Wistia ID of the video you want to upload in the relevant From Wistia field (check this link to copy-paste your Wistia video ID, which will look something like this: h1z3uqsjal). You can choose a video that has already been uploaded to another course within your school by clicking on From all school videos and choosing your desired video. This allows you to reuse a video from another course's video library.
- You are allowed to choose only one Video Storage Provider (either LearnWorlds, Wistia, or Vimeo) to store your videos, but you cannot utilize all of them concurrently.
- The Interactive Video Editor is accessible for your videos within the LearnWorlds course video library only if you upload them there.
