How to author ebooks Using AI (Artificial Intelligence)

You can save time and effort in creating your E-book content by utilizing the built-in AI (Artificial Intelligence) assistant! You can improve the quality of your Εbook writing, and get guidance throughout the Ebook writing process in terms of research, editing, or proofreading. 

More specifically, the AI assistant can help with:

• Sentence structure (grammar and syntax), spelling, or grammatical errors.
• Tone and writing style, based on the audience.
• Topic and content creation, such as outlines, summaries, and idea generation based on trends.
• Research in finding related resources for the creation of the topic.

Start with AI from scratch

Use this option to generate a full eBook from a simple idea.

1. Create your Εbook learning activity and click Edit ebook.

2. Click on Create with AI.  A chat box will open where you can describe what your eBook should be about (e.g., topic, chapter idea). You can also

• Αttach files
• Paste text 
• Add parameters for guidance (tone, audience, format), 
• Reference an existing course or activity

 Press enter to generate the result.

Your eBook outline will appear, ready for review. You can edit it directly by adding or removing content. You can also use chat to refine the result with additional prompts. Once you’re satisfied, click Create eBook to insert the content.

Fill eBook sections with AI

Use this option when your eBook already has a structure, and you want to add more content. If your eBook already contains sections, you can add more by clicking the + (plus) icon.

You can either add it manually or choose the AI button, and a new section will be created. 

Just like when creating the full eBook, a chat box will appear where you can describe what this new section should be about.

Hit enter, and the generated content will be added directly to your eBook.

Generate and edit images with AI

AI can also help you create or modify images inside your eBook.

• Hover over an image widget (existing or empty)
• Click the AI button
• A popup will appear. Describe how you want the image to look or change.
  

When you are happy with the result, click insert. The image will replace the existing one, and it will also be saved in your Image Library for reuse

Edit existing section with AI

Another option update any section using AI. Hover over the section you want to edit and click the edit (AI) button. In this case, too, a chat box appears where you describe the changes you want. AI may ask for clarification or confirmation.Review the suggested changes, confirm them, and your ebook will be updated.

Edit text

After inserting content, you can further refine individual text blocks. More specifically, you can:

• Polish Text: improves the text in terms of syntax and grammar.
• Rewrite Text: rephrase the text.
• Make it Bold: mark the whole text block as bold.
• Make it Catchy: rephrase some of the sentences and words with an enhanced dictionary. 
• Make it Powerful: mark some words as bold to emphasize specific terms. 
• Make it Compelling: rephrase some of the sentences and words with a captivating dictionary.
• Shorten: reduce the amount of content.
• Expand: increase the amount of content. 
• Summarize: create a summary of the content.
• Analyze the Style, Voice, and Tone: provide an explanation of the text's style, voice and tone.
• Change Tone: change the text tone e.g. casual, direct.
• Translate: translate the text to a different language from the available dropdown menu. 

Select the text you want to edit and describe what changes you want to make. AI will generate the updated version
