The Mobile Analytics Dashboard provides a quick overview of the most important metrics related to your school’s mobile app. It allows delving into these metrics in a detailed manner and viewing how they fluctuate over time.
You can visit the dashboard by navigating to the mobile section of the admin dashboard, Mobile App → Analytics.
The Analytics Overview consists of the key metrics to measure an app’s performance:
- The Growth section summarizes the new app downloads and active users (users that have used your app at least once) in 30 days. It also displays whether the trend goes up or down compared to the 30 days before. You can also see those metrics broken down by platform/store.
- The Audience section displays the total number of mobile users and total downloads. The metrics are broken down by platform/store.
- In the Reachability section, you can see the total number of users that have opted-in to receive push notifications from the school’s app. The small charts display the percentage of mobile users that have opted in for push notifications, as well as the percentage of the users that can successfully receive notifications.
- The Engagement section shows the average time (in minutes) that your mobile users study by using your school’s app.
Below the dashboard overview section, you can check different graphs to get more information about your app’s performance. More specifically:
1. Mobile app users
In this section, you'll find insights into the unique app users that have first used your app for the selected time period.
At the top, you can click and access the complete list of mobile app users, and you can also view the trend for the selected time period. You can select different time periods or a custom time range to display the data, and you can switch to a non-accumulative graph. You can also see in the graph three color-coded lines, one for each platform (iOS, Android) and one for all platforms/stores.
2. Active users
In this section, you'll find insights for unique app users who have engaged at least once in the app for the selected time period.
3. New Downloads

4. Reachability
In this section, you can see how your push notifications performed over time.
At the top, you can view a summary of the total number of notifications sent, and viewed by users during the specified time, the trend (going up or down), and the total number of opt-in users for the selected time period.
Underneath, you can see a bar chart with two bars. The first bar shows the number of notifications sent. The second bar shows the number of notifications that the user interacted with. This means that the user tapped on the notification through the notification panel or tapped on the call to action button of the in-app message. This is broken down per month, and you can also switch to a 6-month, 3-month, or 1-month period.
5. Engagement
In this section, you can see how the average study time of your mobile users fluctuates over time.
You can see at the top the time each learner has spent learning on the app and the trend for this specific time period. You can also view the complete list of users who have studied on the app for the specified time period and switch between periods.
6. Revenue
In this section, you can observe how the revenue from in-app purchases fluctuates over time.
At the top, you can see the total sum of revenues from in-app purchases (you can also click the button to view the detailed list). You can view the trend and the sum of total enrollments (including those for free courses) done through the app. You can also find an accumulative graph of purchases and how those perform over a specified period of time.
