How to Presell your Courses/Bundles with LearnWorlds

Are you excited about creating a new course but unsure if it will resonate with your audience? Imagine generating buzz and securing sales before you even launch! Preselling your courses or bundles is the perfect way to do just that. It helps you gauge interest, gather valuable feedback, and fund your project upfront. Let's dive into how you can use LearnWorlds to successfully presell your courses and get your audience eagerly awaiting your content.

In this article, you will find information on how to presell your courses/bundles, meaning users can enroll before the official course release date and get a nice introduction to the course while waiting for the full content to be published but first let's see why you can consider preselling your course.

Why Presell Your Products?

Preselling courses has numerous benefits. It enables you to:

  • Test the market demand for your course idea.
  • Raise funds to support the course development.
  • Build a community of engaged learners from the start.
  • Receive valuable feedback from early adopters.
  • Reduce financial risk by securing sales upfront.

Presell a  Course

1.  Create a new course.

2. We recommend using a keyword in your course title, such as "Presell" so your users know this is not yet the full version of the course. Choose the course URL and upload a course card image, etc.

3. It is important to choose the needed access type of your course. Choose the Paid option so your users can start purchasing the Paid course. You can enable the Offer a discount option and set a discounted price for the users who will buy the course during the pre-sell period.

Presell a Bundle

1. Go to Marketing → Bundles.

2. Follow the steps on how to create a Course Bundle.

3. Include the Paid courses with the Draft sections you prepared in the bundle. Once you change the courses from Draft to Paid, users can purchase the bundle, see only the available section(s), and get full access to the courses' sections.

4. Set the Bundle as public so it is ready for purchase.

Once your course or bundle is created, it's time to set up your sales page. Go to the course/bundle layout page and edit it so it can be compelling. Include engaging content, visuals, and a clear call to action. You can describe your course and let your audience know that pre-enrolling will get them a discount.

General Notes/Tips

  • Regarding the content of your course, it is recommended to upload an introductory video so your users will be informed about the course, its release date, etc.
  • When preparing your course material for a pre-sell course, you can set the Sections to Draft mode. We suggest that you set the first section to Free so that every user can see an Introduction to your course while waiting to gain access to the full course.
  • A countdown timer creates urgency and encourages potential buyers to act quickly. Go to the page of your course or bundle, find the " Timer" option, and set it up to show the remaining time for the presale.
  • In case you want to set a drip-feed for your course as well, setting the first section to Free prevents students from seeing an error 404 on their end when visiting the course player (as courses with all sections set to both drip and Draft cause the course player to display a 404 error message).
  • It's not feasible to presell subscriptions without activating the default billing interval. Instead, you can add trial days and enable the following setting under Settings â†’ Payment Gateway → Stripe: Students should be required to add a credit card before starting a trial.

Launch your Course

When the time comes to launch the course, change its sections from Draft to Paid and change the course description and price to the full price (by turning off the discount option).

The users already enrolled in the course during the pre-sell period will now have full access to all the course sections and new users will have to pay the full price to access your course.

Promote Your Presale

Leverage Your Existing Audience

Utilize your existing email list, social media followers, and other channels to inform your current audience about the presale. Engage with them and provide exclusive offers to early adopters.

Utilize Social Media

Social media platforms are powerful tools for promotion. Share posts, stories, and videos about your presale on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to reach a broader audience.

Run Ads

Consider running paid advertisements on social media and search engines. Target your ads to reach potential learners who are likely to be interested in your course or bundle.

Use Email Marketing

Email marketing is highly effective for presales. Send newsletters and promotional emails to your subscribers, highlighting the benefits of purchasing during the presale period.

Monitoring and Adjusting Your Presale Strategy

Keep track of your presale performance by monitoring key metrics like traffic, conversion rates, and sales. Adjust your marketing strategies based on the data you collect to optimize results.
