How to Keep your LearnWorlds School Hidden Until You Are Ready to Launch

In this article, we have collected some helpful suggestions so that your school remains hidden while it is under construction. 

1. Disable the sign-up process for your school visitors (potential users).

2. Pause/Stop the Search Indexing of your school.

3. Use a temporary Landing/Home Page.

4. Add a prelaunch section.

Disable the Sign-Up process

a. Go to Site Builder → Site Settings → Sign in/up.

b. Click on No one can sign up. I will add my users manually under the Sign up process.

Pause/Stop the Search Indexing of your School

If you want to stop the Search Indexing of your school, you will need to:

a. Navigate to Site Builder → Custom Code and add the following, under <head> logged in (html) and under <head> logged out (html):

<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">

b. Click on Update and Save your changes.

Replace your Home/Landing Page with a Temporary one

There are several reasons why you might want to replace your school's default Home page with a new, or a temporary one. This can be done to show an Under Construction or Pre-launch page in case you do not wish to welcome your first users yet. 


a. Go to Site Builder → Edit School Site and navigate to your Pages Manager.

b. You will notice that there are different types of pages. Currently, your home page has the /pages/home slug.

c. Click on Clone Page.

d. Once the page is duplicated, click Site → Site Navigation.

e. Click on Select a page and choose the page you wish from the dropdown menu, under Home Page (before login page) and click on Apply.

Add and Customize a Prelaunch Section

If you wish to inform your users of the upcoming launching of your online academy you can add one of our Prelaunch Sections. 

a. Go to Site Builder → Edit School Site.

b. Choose the page you want to edit from the Pages Manager.

c. Click on the +Add section to add one of our available Prelaunch Sections.
