When a learner completes a purchase a course or enrolls in a free course, LearnWorlds allows you to define exactly where they are redirected next. This is a key part of creating a smooth and personalized user experience—whether to say "thank you," start learning right away, or promote other products.
This guide covers how to configure the After Purchase Navigation for:
- Single product purchases
- Multiple product purchases
- Free course enrollments
To locate the After Purchase options, click on:
1. E-commerce → Cart & checkout flow.
2. Switch to the After Purchase tab.
Single product purchases
When a learner purchases a single product, you can direct them to the:
- Thank you (default): Learners are redirected to the /thankyou system page. Customize this in the Website Builder → Thank you page.
- Course / Program player: Directly sends the learner to the first activity of the purchased course.
- Product description page: Takes them to the product’s layout page.
- After login page.Redirects to the homepage for logged-in users.
- Another page: Choose a custom page from the Site Builder.
- Specific URL: Redirects to any external URL.
Multiple Product Purchases
Define the redirect behavior when learners purchase multiple products in one checkout session. Options Available:
- Thank you
- After login page
- Another page
- Specific URL
These options function the same way as they do for single purchases. However, the Course/Program player is not available in this case due to the inclusion of multiple products.
Free courses after enrollment navigation
When offering free courses, you can choose where users are redirected after enrollment. The available options include:
- Thank you
- Course / Program player
- Product description page
- After login page
- Another page
- Specific URL
Once you’ve selected the appropriate redirection option(s) for each purchase scenario, click Save at the top to apply your settings.
You can use the Thank You page—or any other redirect page—not only to express gratitude, but also to cross-promote other courses, offer onboarding tips, or share success stories and testimonials.Product-Specific After Purchase Navigation
In addition to setting global redirection rules, LearnWorlds allows you to customize the After Purchase Navigation for each course or learning program.
This can be especially useful if you want different behaviors for different products—for example, sending learners of one course straight into learning, while directing another group to a page with onboarding materials.
Where to Find It
- Go to Courses & programs from the admin panel.
- Select the specific course or learning program.
- Navigate to the Access tab.
- Scroll down to the After purchase navigation section or After enrollment navigation if you are editing a free course.
You’ll be able to use:
- Global navigation settings. This applies to whatever default is set in the E-commerce → Cart & checkout flow area.
- Set product-specific navigation. Choose this to override the global setting just for this course or product.
Once you choose product-specific navigation, you can redirect learners to:
- Thank you page
- Course
- Product description page
- After login page
- Another page
- Specific URL
