ZenDesk is one of the various Customer service integrations that our platform provides. It is a customer service platform designed for companies that want to create customer relationships that are more meaningful, personal, and productive. It also helps companies provide great support and then mature with self-service and proactive engagement.

To integrate the ZenDesk chat widget into your LearnWorlds school, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your ZenDesk account. If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one first. To create an account click here: https://www.zendesk.com/register/.

2. Once logged in, from your ZenDesk dashboard click on the  Admin Center option.

3. On the Admin Center page, you can select the Channels → Messaging and social section and click on Messaging. There, you can choose the widget you would like to use and hit the Edit button in order to customize the widget.

4.  After customizing the chat widget, copy the subdomain of your Zendesk URL (in the article's example the Zendesk subdomain is learnworlds3036) and log in to your LearnWorlds school.

5. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Customer Service, click on Activate, and paste Zendesk's subdomain. Don't forget to click on Save

You have successfully integrated Zendesk chat with your LearnWorlds school! When a user Logins into your school, the respective chat box will appear on the bottom right corner of your school page.

Notes:

  • If your school is GDPR compliant visitors first need to accept cookies in order for the Zendesk help button to show up.
  • We have researched Zendesk's options to help you out a bit in the future and found that you can use Zendesk's API codes to move the widget either vertically or horizontally or both. For more information on how to build this code, you will need to contact Zendesk. This code can be added in our custom code editor, and you can also inject it in the course player only, using liquid ("In Course Player" conditional). To learn more about liquid, check our article here.
