Unlocking the power of Ebook creation has never been easier. Contrary to popular belief, crafting an Ebook doesn't require advanced design or coding skills. At LearnWorlds, we have streamlined the process, making it a hassle-free experience that can be accomplished in just a few steps.
Create the Ebook Learning Activity
1. Go to the Contents tab of your created course.
2. Click on Add Activity under the selected course section.
3. Click on the Ebook option. When it comes to creating an Ebook, you can choose between professionally-designed eBook templates or building one from scratch.
4. Give a title to your Ebook and click on Save or Save & Edit to start making changes right away.

Ebook Settings
Once your Ebook is saved, hover over the learning activity and click on Settings to set up your Ebook further. You can:
- Click on Edit Ebook text to get directed to the Ebook Authoring panel (see below).
- Set the title, and description, and choose an icon for this Ebook learning unit.
- Add a Digital Download & Upload a unit background image.
- Set this unit as a prerequisite so users will need to "complete" this specific Ebook learning unit to continue to the next learning units.
- Check the automatically calculated reading time based on the Ebook word count (it calculates 180 words per minute, thus 3 words per second), and set your own estimated reading time if you wish.

Design and Edit the Ebook
Click on the Edit Ebook button, to be redirected to the Ebook authoring environment. To create your Ebook you can start by adding sections/widgets or importing a Word document.
1. To add a section, click on +Add Section button. Upon clicking the button, a pop-up window will appear, unveiling a diverse collection of pre-made templates. These templates serve as a starting point, allowing you to save time and effort while still maintaining creative control over your Ebook's overall look and feel. 2. To import a Word document, you can click on +Import Word document. A pop-up window will appear in order to select the file. You will be asked if you would like to keep the file format as well as if you would like to add any images to the image library. The file should be in .doc, .docx, or .odt format. Ebooks and Contents
On the left side, you will notice two key options Ebooks and Contents.
- Under the Ebooks option, you will find a comprehensive view of all the Ebook learning activities you have created across your courses. This option allows you to access and manage your existing Ebook activities effortlessly.
- The Contents option provides you with a detailed view of the specific Ebook activity you're currently working on. There, you can navigate through the sections of your Ebook, allowing you to make edits.
There is a convenient pop-up window that provides essential information about each Ebook activity such as the course included the Ebook activity, the activity type, the date and time of the last update, how many words have you added to the eBook activity, the reading time of the eBook activity and you can copy the URL of the specific activity.
We understand the importance of ensuring your Ebook's user interface (UI) looks impeccable across various devices. To empower you in this regard, we have implemented a valuable feature that allows you to assess and fine-tune the appearance of your Ebook on different devices using the device scale.
Ebook Authoring Toolbar
Ebook: By accessing the Ebook setting, you gain control over two key features: Learner Tools and Custom Code.
- By selecting the Learner tools, you can allow students to navigate easily between their notes & their highlighted text, enhancing their learning experience and enabling seamless access to important resources.
- If you possess coding knowledge, you can select the Custom Code setting. This feature allows you to further enhance your eBook's functionality by incorporating your own custom code.
Edit: You can undo and redo edits, copy and paste the Ebook sections in order to transfer the content between different eBook learning activities and clear all the content.
