The LearnWorlds Video Player is a fully mobile-friendly tool that enhances video-based learning. It allows you to add interactive elements such as titles, images, pointers, and logos, making videos more engaging for learners.
Users can control playback options, including play, pause, replay, volume, playback speed, video quality, captions, and screen width. A position indicator helps track progress and navigate easily within the video.
In this article, we will explore all the available Video Player settings, by clicking on Settings → Video.
Video Storage Preferences
To choose your provider, navigate to Settings → Video → Provider. There, you can choose where to store your videos based on your needs. There are three available options:
- LearnWorlds Storage: Securely store videos within LearnWorlds.
- Vimeo Pro: Host videos using a Vimeo Pro account.
- Wistia: Use Wistia for video storage and analytics.
Player Appearance
To customize the look of your video player navigate to Settings → Video → Player appearance and select a skin that aligns with your brand and enhances the viewing experience.
Player Setup
Your video editor can be customized to fit your needs. Click on Settings → Video → Player Setup and enable the following options:
- Autoplay: Automatically start videos when the page loads.
- Resume Playback: Allow users to continue watching from where they last stopped.
- Transcript Settings: Adjust the display and availability of video transcripts.
- Progress Bar Options: Customize the visibility and style of the progress bar.
- Enable Fullscreen on iOS devices
- Watermark
- Social reactions: Enable comments and emoji reactions to your videos.
Transcription Services
With the Learning Center plan or higher, you can enable transcription services. This feature makes videos more accessible by providing written transcripts. To check your transcript time navigate to Settings → Video → Transcript services.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Users can also take advantage of keyboard shortcuts to control video playback:
Space: Play / Pause video
ArrowUp: + 10% Volume
ArrowDown: -10% Volume
ArrowRight: The video progresses by 5 seconds
ArrowLeft: The video turns back 5 seconds
F: Enter/Exit fullscreen
