Emails Sent Directly from Stripe
In addition to the emails sent through your LearnWorlds school, you may choose to send certain notifications directly from Stripe. These notifications cover similar events, but Stripe also provides additional options such as renewal reminders and trial-end alerts.
Stripe Email Options:
Stripe allows you to send the following types of automated emails:
- Reminder email 7 days before a free trial ends
- Emails about upcoming renewals
- Emails about expiring cards
- Emails when card payments fail
- Emails when bank debit payments fail
How to Configure These Emails
To set up or customize these notifications:
1. Log in to your Stripe account and navigate to Settings → Billing → Subscriptions and Emails.
2. Enable or disable each email type according to your needs.
3. Adjust any additional settings based on how you want Stripe to handle payment-related communication.
- If you want to prompt users to update their payment method, enable “Send emails about upcoming renewals” and insert your school’s account page URL (e.g., https://schoolexample.learnworlds.com/account) so the user can easily access their billing details.
- To notify users about cards nearing expiration, toggle on “Send emails about expiring cards.”
- You can also configure how many retries Stripe will attempt when a payment fails for users with active subscriptions or installment plans.
For more details on customizing Stripe’s emails or adjusting billing workflows, you can contact Stripe Support or refer to their support article on editing subscription notification emails.
