Managing and customizing a product's access on LearnWorlds is simple and flexible. You can control how students access your product, update settings, and personalize post-purchase navigation for a seamless learning experience.
In this article, we will learn how to:
- Select or change the access type.
- Find the public URL and ID.
- Change the slug.
- Set expiration dates.
- Personalize the user’s navigation after purchasing a product.
To access your pricing settings, whether you're working on a course or a learning program, you need to:
1. Go to your LearnWorlds dashboard and select the course/learning program you want to customize.
2. Click on the Access tab within the settings to manage key configurations.
Choose/Change the Product's Access
For Courses:
You can choose or update the access type of your course (e.g., Free, Paid, Private, Draft, or Coming Soon).
- If you change a course type from Free to Paid, Private, or Coming Soon, users who were previously enrolled in the course will be unenrolled. Users must purchase the course to regain access to the Paid and Private access types. Access can also be reinstated if you revert the course's price back to free.
- If a course’s access changes from Paid or Enrollment Closed to Free or Private, already enrolled users will retain access
For Learning Programs:
Choose the Program access, it can be set as Draft or Paid. Use Draft mode (not available to purchase) when developing your program, and set it as Public when you want to make it available in your school.
Find the Public URL/Product ID
You can find and copy the Public URL (not the authoring URL), the Product's ID, and the Mobile ID.
Change the Slug
When setting up a new course or learning program, you choose a title and a public URL (slug). If needed, you can change the slug later to make it more relevant or easier to share. Further details on how to change the slug are available in this article.
Expiration Date
You can configure the product to expire after a certain period, such as a specific number of days, weeks, months, or years.
This is helpful for courses with limited-time access, creating a sense of urgency for learners. You can also set it to expire on a specific date, regardless of when the learner enrolls.
After Purchase Navigation
While your goal is to sell your products easily, you should not forget that the after-purchase steps of the user have to be correctly predicted as well. This is a great moment to up-sell another product or to redirect the user straight to the course player. You can choose the Use global navigation settings option, so it will work by the default settings you have in your school, find more information about this here.
Or you can decide whether, after the payment, the user will be redirected to:
- The Layout page (available for the Pro trainer plans or higher).
- The Course Player (available for the Pro trainer plans or higher).
- The school’s After Login page (where they can see their purchased courses).
- To the Thank you page (available for the Pro trainer plans or higher).
- To another page of your school (available for the Learning Center plans or higher).
- Or to an external URL (available for the Learning Center plans or higher).
- Shopify Integration: If Shopify is used for payments, the After Purchase Navigation settings will differ.
