When you create a course on LearnWorlds, the platform automatically generates a unique public URL (slug) for easy sharing. If you want to customize or update this URL, LearnWorlds provides a simple way to make changes.

When to Change Your Course URL
- Rebranding your course with a new name.
- Updating the course to reflect new content.
- Simplifying the URL for easier sharing.
- Creating a more SEO-friendly URL.
- Adjusting the URL to match a new audience or market.
Change Your Course's Public URL
To change your course URL, go to the Course manager, and select the course you wish to customize.
1. Navigate to the Access tab.
2. Edit the Public URL and click on Save.
A popup will appear for confirmation. Click on Change URL, and after the confirmation, users will see the new course URL.
- Changing a course's public URL means that the previous course URL will redirect to an error page.- The original Course ID is permanent and cannot be changed. It is used for enrolling users in products, generating payment links, and creating PayPal buttons (if needed). Even if you update the course’s slug or public URL, the Course ID will remain the same. For example, if your initial course URL was [myschool].learnworlds.com/how-to-create-a-course-in-5-days and you change it to [myschool].learnworlds.com/newcourse, the Course ID will still be how-to-create-a-course-in-5-days.
