In case an image cannot be fetched on Facebook or LinkedIn, you will need to follow the steps below.
1. Go to developers.facebook.com/tools/debug.
2. Enter your desired page's URL.
3. Click on Debug.
You can now check your page's details.
4. Click on Scrape Again to fetch your page's new metadata image.
If a URL has only the image and not the description, know that the image should be square and not widescreen otherwise Facebook removes the description.1. Go to www.linkedin.com/post-inspector.
2. Enter your desired page's URL.
3. Click on Inspect.
You can now check your page's details.
4. LinkedIn automatically scrapes the new metadata every time you inspect a page.
