How to Upload Videos to your Video Library

In this article, you will find more information on the process of uploading a video to the Video Library of your course.

Set up your Video Storage Preferences

Before uploading the video, you will need to set up your video storage preferences (this is a one-off action). You can choose between LearnWorlds, Wistia, or Vimeo by navigating to Settings Video Provider.

Bulk Upload Videos

If you’d like to bulk upload videos directly to your courses, simply navigate to the course you want to update.

If the course is empty, click on the Upload Your Files option. If the course already contains activities, click on the Upload Activity option.

Next, select the videos you want to upload and click Upload. The videos will be uploaded, corresponding activities will be created automatically, and the videos will also be stored in the video library for future use.

For the videos to upload properly and for activities to be created automatically, ensure that LearnWorlds is selected as your video provider.

Upload your Video to Video Library

If you want to upload your video directly to the video library, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the course for which you would like to upload a video and click on the Video Library tab. Each course has its own video library.

2. Click on Add Video or drag and drop your video file.

If you click on Add Video, a window will open. Select your video from the window and click on Open.

You need to ensure that your video file format is supported before uploading it to your Video Library. We recommend as video codecs H.264 or Apple ProRes 422 and as video file extensions: MOV, MP4, 3GP, DIVX, AVI, FLV, MPEG, MPG, WMV, MKV. You can check Video specifications here.

If you wish to find out more information on the supported video file formats, resolutions, and sizes, navigate to our respective article.

3. Wait for your video to be uploaded and encoded. When the process is completed, you will see the video in your video library.

Repeat the process until all relevant videos have been uploaded; you can upload up to 15 videos at a time

Delete Videos

In case you want to delete a video from your course you can navigate to each video library inside a course, and click on the delete icon or use the bulk delete action
