How to Edit your Topbar Navigation Menu/Buttons

In LearnWorlds, a signup and subsequent login are necessary for users to access your course content. To enhance user experience, LearnWorlds offers a customizable top bar, with unique options for logged-in and logged-out users. This feature allows you to display relevant navigation links depending on the user’s status and streamline access to important content and pages. You can find more information, here

In this article, we will cover how to set up your top bar buttons using LearnWorlds’ premade button links, create custom top bar buttons from scratch, and use submenus to enhance navigation.

To start editing your topbar, navigate to Website â†’ Edit Website and click on Edit School Topbar

Premade Topbar Menu Buttons

LearnWorlds provides several premade top bar button links that you can add by dragging and dropping onto your top bar. This saves time and ensures commonly used links are readily available.

You can find all the settings for the premade button links by clicking on the Header widget section, choosing the button link you are interested in, and dragging and dropping it above by clicking on the 4 small dots. You can position the buttons anywhere you want and remove a button, either a premade or a custom one, by just clicking on the bin icon.

Custom Buttons

You can also create new buttons if the premade options don’t cover your specific needs. Click on the + icon and:

1. Rename the text in the new menu button by clicking on "Menu Link".

2. Edit the button's link, by clicking on the pencil icon. Or delete a button by clicking on the bin icon.

To explore further details about the redirections/links you can incorporate, please refer to this article.

You can use submenu links to make your top bar cleaner and more organized by grouping similar links together.

If you want to add a submenu button, click on the + plus icon next to the pencil, and then edit the content for each submenu button.

This feature can make your navigation more attractive and compact, especially if you have many options to display.

Button Layout

Once your top bar buttons and links are set up, you can edit the layout of the top bar menu. You can choose between the following choices and customize your buttons as you like.

You can find out more about the Topbar settings (how to add your logo or widgets) and the Hamburger menu in this article.

The Home page cannot be used as a link for buttons in your after-login navigation. Even if you configure it as an on-click action, it will not be visible to logged-in users. The only exception to this is if the Home page is set as the After Login page, and the on-click action directs users specifically to the After Login page.
