How to Upload and Manage your Videos

Videos are a key part of online learning. They make your courses more engaging and help learners understand complex topics visually. With LearnWorlds, you can securely upload your videos to an internal video library or connect an external account like Vimeo Pro or Wistia for storage.


In this article, we will see an overview of how to upload a video to your LearnWorlds library, set up the video player settings, share your videos in courses and pages, and use the Interactive Video Editor.


Upload a Video

Before using a video in a course or on a school page, you need to upload it to your video library.


1. Make sure your Video Storage Preferences are properly configured in your account settings.

2. Confirm your video file format is supported by LearnWorlds.

3. Go to the course where you want to use the video.

4. Click on the Video Library tab.

5. Click Add video or drag and drop your video file into the upload area.

6. If you clicked Add video, choose your video file and then click Open.

7. Wait for the upload and encoding process to complete. Once done, your video will appear in your library.

Customize Video Settings

After uploading your video, you can personalize how the video player behaves for your viewers.


1. Go to Settings from your admin panel.

2. Navigate to VideoPlayer setup.


  • Enabling autoplay
  • Resuming playback
  • Controlling transcript display
  • Customizing the progress bar
  • Modifying various other settings


Share your Videos

You can add your uploaded videos to courses or any page of your school site.


Use the Interactive Video Editor

If you use LearnWorlds Video Storage, you get access to the Interactive Video Editor—a powerful tool that lets you enhance videos with interactive elements. 


To access the interactive video editor:


1. Hover over the video activity in your course.

2. Click Edit video to open the editor.
