The Reports Center is a powerful and flexible analytics engine that helps you interpret and analyze data on user progress, registrations, user engagement, and different learner attributes.

Within the Reports Center, you can track overall user progress across all courses, use a range of filters for even more advanced search capabilities, use preset user segments for detailed and targeted reporting, as well as create custom user segments. Additionally, you can export and schedule the extraction and delivery of user progress reports to designated recipients via email.

In this article, we will provide an overview of the reports center, delve into the features of user progress and user segments, and offer essential tips for crafting precise user progress reports.

To visit the reports center and start analyzing user data, navigate to Report → Reports Center

On the Reports Center page, you will find all of the available reports, including the:

  • Overall user progress report
  • Preset user progress reports based on different user segments.
  • Custom segments created under My segments

Overall User Progress

On the Reports Center page, you can see the overall user progress report. By clicking on Overall user progress, you will be redirected to the User Progress page, where you can apply various filters based on course or user attributes, or apply a variety of advanced filters related to users, courses, social interactions, and UTM parameters to create advanced user reports.

Additionally, you can to create new custom user segments by saving the segment after applying the filters, and schedule and export progress reports.

You can find out more about the Overall user progress report, in this article

User Segments

On the Reports Center page, you can see a variety of preset user progress reports based on different user segments defined by distinct attributes.

User segments are distinct groups of users based on various attributes. For user progress reports within your school, segmentation can be conducted using filters related to users, courses, social interactions, and UTM parameters. The user segments include reports for:

  • User registration insights
  • User engagement insights
  • Enrollment insights
  • Marketing insights
  • Mobile app insights
  • Seat offering insights
  • User group insights
  • User progress insights

By clicking on each user segment, you can apply additional filters and create new custom user segments, add tags to the users that are part of this user segment, and schedule and export progress reports.

- Adding tags to specific user segments, proves particularly valuable in corporate training scenarios, where you can categorize users into distinct groups, such as different customer segments or teams within the company. If tags have been assigned previously, the exported file will also include an overview of the users' tags.

- You can find out more about User Segments and how to create and manage them in this article

My Segments

Navigate to Reports → Reports center and click on My segments to see the available custom segments you have created. You can view the details of the segment, export the user progress based on this segment, schedule the report, and delete the segment by hovering over the desired option and clicking on the three dots on the left.

You can find out more on how to save reports based on filters and create custom user segments, in this article.

Essential Tips for Accuracy

1. Duration of hidden tabs is not tracked, similar to inactive sessions where users leave their browsers open. However, SCORM activities are an exception, as all activity time is measured.

2. Only the "playing" time is recorded for videos, while paused time is not included, except for YouTube videos where the entire duration is measured. Additionally, when testing live in the course player, note that the database does not update in real time.

3. The update is triggered in the following cases:

  • Every 3 minutes during large learning activities.
  • When you navigate back to the course page.
  • When you close the browser.
  • When there is a change in the learning activity within the course player.
  • Even after updating the time in the database, it may take a minimum of 1 minute, up to a few minutes, and in rare cases, more time for the analytics (User Card) to be updated.
