This feature allows you to quickly add tags to multiple users at once. It’s a helpful way to organize and manage your users without having to edit each profile manually.
Bulk tagging makes user management faster and helps you segment users for emails, automation, reports, and more.
In this article, we will learn how to tag users in bulk using an Excel file.
Bulk Tag
1. Navigate to Users → All Users.
2. Hover over Bulk actions, and click on Tag users.

The file must contain two columns:
email (user email)
tags (the tags you want to add)
Here is an example of how the file should be:
4. Specify if you want to add a universal tag to all the users included in the file. If you have already added the tags in your Excel file, you can skip this step as it's optional.
5. By enabling Overwrite tags, previous tags of the specific users will be deleted, and only the new tags will be added.
6. Add a Name for Users Actions log to identify the progress of your Bulk action.
7. Click on Add Tags.

- Don’t change the column headers in the template file. Keep the titles as they are to ensure the upload works.
- Remove any special formatting (e.g., links in emails, styled text) before uploading your Excel file.
- Bulk tagging using the Multi-Select User option is only available on the Learning Center plan and higher.
