With the Drip-Feed feature in LearnWorlds, you can schedule the gradual release of course content by section, instead of making all learning material available at once.
Using the Drip by Days option, course sections are unlocked based on each learner’s enrollment date, meaning every student gains access to the content according to their own schedule.
If needed, you can also manually unlock course sections earlier than the scheduled drip-feed date for specific users. This can be useful for special cases, such as granting earlier access to selected learners or users migrated from another platform.
In this article, you will learn how to unlock drip-feed course sections ahead of schedule for specific users.
Unlock course sections
1. Navigate to Courses & Programs → Courses and select the course you want to update.
2. Go to Course Outline.
3. Click on the Users' button next to the specified (e.g. 4 days) drip feed date.
4. Edit each user’s drip-feed date individually up to the previously configured daily limit. Click the pencil icon next to the user’s drip days, enter the desired number of days.
5. Click on Save.

- Each user should appear only in the newest accessible section, not in multiple sections. Calculate the day on which each course section unlocks, and manually move the user to the corresponding drip-feed day, such as day 9 or day 10 after course enrollment.
- In subscription plans, drip-feed progress is not automatically updated when a user changes subscriptions. By default, the user is unenrolled and re-enrolled in the same course, causing the drip-feed progress to restart.
- If a user is enrolled in a Learning Program that includes a course using Drip by Days, the option to edit drip-feed days or unlock sections earlier is not available. In this case, the pencil icon will not appear.
