With Learnworlds you can set two special users where each one of them is responsible for support about courses and the second one about technical problems solutions.
When you set someone as Instructor/Tech Support an option will appear at the student menu using it a student will be able to send a private message to the respective person.
In this tutorial, you will learn how you can set them in a few easy steps.
1 ¨Νavigate to "Settings" - "Notification emails" - "Admin Settings":
2 To Insert a Teacher Support User click on the "Connect account" at the right of the respective text field
3 At the "User account" field type "@" and then start typing the name of the user you would like to choose. The results of your search will appear at a dropdown list with users. Select the one you wish to enter.
4 Click "Select account".
5 Similarly you can set a Technical support user. Clicking on the "Choose Account" button at the right of the appropriate text field and following steps 3-4.
6 When you are done click "Save" at the top to finalize your changes.
Remember: You can delete or change the users you have chosen whenever you wish.
7 Now, the only thing remaining is to enable this access to your users by adding the Tech support and Ask Instructor links to your school. Go to your "Site Builder" - "Edit School Site" and select "Edit School Topbar".
Select the "After sign-in/up topbar.
8 Select the Topbar Menu. You can add a new menu item or a Sub-menu under the "Me" category. You can name the categories respectively (ex. Tech Support).
9 Click on the pencil icon to edit the new subcategories that you created. On the "Go to" menu select the "App" and on the "Select app" choose the respective app you are editing (ex. Technical Support). Do the same respectively for Instructors, choose the "Teacher Support" app.
10 Click on "Done". Then click "Save and Close" on your topbar settings. Congratulations! Now you have added Technical and Instructor support for your users.
