We’ve just launched a powerful new architecture for LearnWorlds — already live for new trials created after June 2nd, 2025— and we’re gradually rolling it out to existing schools. This guide explains what’s new, what’s changing, and what to expect during migration.
Why the New LearnWorlds?
The new version of LearnWorlds was created with your feedback and market trends at its core, designed to support more business models and a broader range of knowledge products beyond courses. With our years of experience, we’ve built a flexible architecture that lets us deliver new features faster and bring together needs that were previously hard to combine.
We’ve started strong: this new version already includes powerful capabilities like learning programs, a shopping cart, flexible offers, expiration date editing, and more.

Migration Plan for Existing Customers
The new version is available to all new trials and schools created after June 2, 2025, and many existing academies have already been successfully migrated. By running both versions in parallel, we ensure a smooth, disruption-free transition so you can enjoy all the new capabilities with complete peace of mind.
Migration is happening in phases, based on several attributes of the schools to be migrated. We have set the following schedule:
- Beginning of October 2025 → Schools with courses only (no bundles or subscriptions). Gain access to the cart and programs soon!
- End of October 2025 → Schools with bundles migration. Legacy bundles will shift toward either bundle offers (sales-focused) or programs (learning-focused).
- End of December 2025→ Schools with subscriptions migration. New subscription engine adds invoicing, overdue payment handling, and more flexible recurring plans.
If your school is still using the old Site Builder, you’ll need to migrate to the new builder first. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Support to begin this process.
Shopping Cart
The new Cart allows learners to purchase multiple products in one checkout, courses, and programs. It’s designed to look and feel like modern e-commerce.
Old Checkout | New Cart | |
---|---|---|
Products per order | One course at a time | Multiple courses, programs, or installment plans in one order |
Discounts | Coupon-based, one at a time | Smarter offers with rules, limits, and multiple discounts |
Deferred Checkouts | Not available | Users can add items over time and buy later |
Design | Basic, single-step flow | Modern, multi-step checkout designed for higher conversions |
Future growth | Limited | Foundation for gifting, group enrollments, seat-based selling, and more |

Offers
We’ve enhanced the way you can run promotions in LearnWorlds with new, flexible options:
Auto-applied offers → discounts can now appear directly on product pages, no coupon needed.
Stacked offers & multiple coupons → learners can apply more than one discount at checkout.
Usage limits → control how many times an offer can be redeemed.
These improvements make it easier to create effective campaigns, reward learners, and boost sales.

Learning Programs
Learning Programs (available in Pro Trainer plans or higher) allow you to group multiple courses into a single product, giving you control over how learners progress through content.
You have two options:
Learning Path – Courses are taken in a set order (ideal for structured curricula like Beginner → Advanced).
Learning Collection – Courses can be taken in any order (ideal for subscriptions and thematic or modular content).
Why Programs?
Bundles helped with sales, but they lacked a learning flow. Programs were created to provide learners with a guided journey that includes progress tracking, while still allowing flexibility where needed.
Legacy Bundles | New Bundle Offers | New Programs | |
---|---|---|---|
Purpose | Group products mainly for sales | Package multiple products under one discounted price | Package courses for structured learning or a simple course collection |
Learner Flow | No enforced order | No enforced order | Set order (Path) or flexible (Collection) |
Progress Tracking | Not available | Not available | Built-in tracking across all courses |
Best For | Promotions, bulk sales | Sales campaigns and themed collections | Certifications, curricula, or guided learning journeys |

What You Need to Do
No action is needed right now, your migration is happening automatically.
If your school uses bundles, you now have the flexibility to decide how each bundle will be migrated. This option became available on September 4th, 2025, and you’ll have at least one month to make your choice before we migrate your school. If you don’t make any changes, the default will be Learning Program Collections.
Don’t worry, you’ll always be able to create new Learning Programs or Bundle Offers after migration.
Here are the options you have for each of your bundles. You can migrate them to:
- Bundle Offer → Ideal for grouping products together at a discounted price.
- Learning Program (Collection) → Great for structured learning journeys with a suggested course order and progress tracking.
- Learning Program (Path) → Perfect for flexible learning journeys with progress tracking.
To adjust the option, go to Marketing → Bundles → Edit properties on each bundle.
Coming Soon
We’re not stopping here; more selling options are on the way, including:
- Sell licenses in bulk, so organizations or individuals can purchase for others and assign enrollments.
- Offer gifts, allowing learners to give the gift of learning to friends or colleagues.
- Create cart-level discounts that apply automatically at checkout.
- Build custom bundles, where buyers choose the courses they want.
- Introduce prerequisites & sequential navigation to your programs
Our vision is to provide you with a flexible eCommerce engine built specifically for education, helping schools and academies grow with modern selling models that fit diverse audiences.
