Giving your customers the option to purchase your courses through an installment plan will give them a more flexible way to organize their payment and at the same time have access to your valuable content.
You can now create your own installment plan button through your PayPal payment gateway, let us show you how.
1Open the PayPal button creation page.
Log in to your PayPal account and locate the Tools --> All Tools option on the top bar menu:
3For this next step, you will need to select the button type. Select "Subscribe":
If your students buy a course via this installment button, PayPal makes the payments automatically on the schedule you set. You can include tax and shipping in the total amount, but do not include interest.
4Customize button text and appearance.
You can change the appearance and text of the default PayPal button; you can even enter a URL and use your own button image:
Once you are ready, click on "Create button":
5Find your button code.
Find and copy the code for the new button you have just created so you can then add it to your Learnworlds school.
6Paste your button code to your Learnworlds page
Add Embed section
a. Access the page you want to add the button to (usually a course page) and click on ''Add section'". Select the "Embed'' option from the menu that appears, and choose one of our available templates.
b. Click on the embed section, and on the side form that appears, paste the button code in the ''Embeddable script'' area.
Hit update and save your changes.
Add embed widget
a. You can also add the Paypal button inside an existing or new section, through the embed widget. In order to do that, simply click on the ''+'' icon which appears once you hover over the section you wish to edit.
b. Click on Embed Code from the menu and choose the Embed widget.
c. Now all that is left is to add the Paypal Button code in the side window that appears, inside the text box under ''Embeddable Script''. Simply hit update and you are done!
It's time to preview your page! This is how your PayPal Installment button could look (in either of the above options):
*You can find sample PayPal Installment button codes on this page.
Note: If you wish to take your customers back to your school after the PayPal Checkout page, add to the PayPal buttons as a return URL, your school's landing page URL (which will be accessible to logged out users as well). Please find the respective instructions to achieve that, here (par. no 6)
Now, once you see that you have received a payment from a learner to your PayPal account, go ahead and manually enroll them in the relevant course.
